Osteopathy and Franklin Method
David Kellett DO - Osteopath and
Franklin Method Teacher
I have been in osteopathic practice since 1989 when I graduated from the European School Of Osteopathy - I have now been practicing for more than half my life! I have taught at the European School Of Osteopathy at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels. I trained with the Franklin Institute in London and Uster, Switzerland and am one of the first English speakers to graduate from the 3 year Advanced Diploma program as a Franklin Method Educator. Since graduating as a Franklin Method Teacher I have continued to study in the related field of Ideokinesis. I completed the Apprenticeship Training with the School Of Movement Medicine in January 2011. I completed the taught part of the Professional Training with the School in 2012. I graduated as a Movment Medicne Facilitator within the feild of Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy in February 2014.
I love my work! Since I was a small child I have always wanted to know how the body works, what makes us ill, what makes us healthy. Osteopathy, Franklin Method, medical science, psychotherapy and Movement Medicine have all helped me to get a deeper and deeper understanding of the nature of health and ill-heath. My work is all about taking what I have learned and using it to help and support others to find a happier, healthier relationship between their body, heart and mind. It is an ongoing process where I bring all the experiences from the various trainings that I have received and all the experiences of living my life together so that I can give the best I can give whether in osteopathic treatments, or workshops.I am deeply indebted to my teachers in the various disciplines that I have studied and taken part in (My Teachers).
Outside my work as an
Osteopath, Franklin Method Teacher and Movement Medicine Facilitator I have a wide range of interests - from reading Sci-Fi to listening
to Electronic Music of The Old Berlin School, Drone Ambient and recording my own, mostly electronic based, music - to cooking
and eating!

further
information. People come a long way to see me sometimes (Hong

but mostly people travel fairly locally. The Hitchin practice is easy to get to
from anywhere in Herts like Letchworth Stevenage, Baldock, Royston, Welwyn,
Hatfield, Hertford, Bedfordshire - like Luton, Dunstable and Bedford. and even
further afield like Cambridge. The Northwood practice is easily accessible via
the underground from London (Metropolitan Line), Harrow, Stanmore, Ruislip,
Pinner, Watford and Hemel Hempstead.
To navigate the site please follow the links at the top and bottom of the pages to find the main pages that you want (Home, Osteopathy, Franklin Method, Workshops and Individual Sessions). I'm going to be building in various links to subsidiary pages over the next few weeks to link in more detailed information about the many areas that Osteopathy, Franklin Method and Movement Work can be of benefit in.
There are some YouTube videos embedded in this site (one at the bottom of this page) - I hope that they illustrate a little of what I do.

The Movement Medicine work of Ya'Acov and Susannah Darling- Khan where they combine the process of Ecstatic Dance with Shamanic work has had a profound effect on my own life and the way that I approach my work as an osteopath and healer. I recommend Susannah and Ya'Acov's work highly for anyone who would like to explore their own inner being finding who you are, being all you can be, giving all you've got. Keef Miles (with whom I co taught Dancing Hearts in London) Is a brilliant Yoga and Yoga Dance Teacher.
The video below is a brief explanation of how I think about my practice of Osteopathy. It's home made so please forgive the quality!
